Problems with shutting down the stars program As with many programs on Roblox, the stars program served as a massive opportunity for smaller developers. It created an olive branch and opened doors to merchandise & licensing opportunities that would otherwise be nearly impossible to achieve for smaller developers on the platform.
When Roblox did toys of developer’s games, it was called “Star Program”. Not be confused with the YouTuber “Star Program” (kinda silly they named it the same thing). Since the mystery box toys aren’t being produced anymore, they seemingly use that “Star Program” for new DevEx requesters. It has caused a lot of confusion, so your question is super valid.
Roblox Youtube Stars are given a special code that their viewers can use to support their favorite Roblox youtuber in Roblox’s star program. Roblox has a Star program with developers, though they are not given the same feature.
Anyways, the requirements they put for the Star Program is inaccurate, if those were the requirements I could theoretically qualify lol. You need to have over 100K subscribers/followers and have roughly 20K views average per video/post.
