More than 1 million people are under fire watch Friday, Feb. 20, as critical fire weather threatens a stretch from east-central New Mexico to Kansas.
Warm temperatures, strong wind gusts, and dry terrain while increased the fire danger in northeastern New Mexico. A fire watch is in place till 6 PM on Monday.
