Avon’s recently approved and installed speed cameras are up and running. The cameras began tracking cars and issuing warnings on Nov 21. The speed limit in most of central Avon is 25 miles per hour.

Red light and speed cameras are popping up in several towns across Connecticut with more in the works. Middletown leaders are calling the cameras a success since installing them this summer.
