Following on from Erik Korsten's Nathusius pipistrelle roost posted earlier this week, I went out and walked three kilometres of the King's Sedgemoor Drain and found this common pipistrelle roosting in a subsidence-crack on a crack willow. There are still 6 km to explore, as well as many lake areas so hopefully I'll get lucky! | Bat Tree Habitat Key

Questa giovane e splendida Pipistrellus kuhlii sarà l’ultima ricoverata dell’anno? La piccola sembra in buone condizioni: pesa 5,8 grammi ed è stata trovata oggi a terra, a Roma. Con ogni probabilità si tratta di una giovane che aveva scelto un rifugio non idoneo, dove le forti escursioni termiche hanno compromesso l’aggrappo, facendola cadere. Per fortuna è stata notata da una persona attenta e sensibile, che ci ha contattati tempestivamente e ce l’ha affidata. Ora passerà il Capodanno al sicur
