Laboratory diagnostics play a crucial role in the #Ebola response in DRC. In Bulape, the establishment of an onsite laboratory has significantly strengthened the response. With support from WHO, two GeneXpert machines and over 600 cartridges were delivered to Bulape, enabling diagnosis in less than two hours and timely initiation of appropriate treatment. In addition, twelve laboratory technicians have been trained in biosafety and rapid diagnosis, further strengthening local capacity. | World H
